Graduation is one of the most important milestones in one’s life.
Celebrate the achievements of the graduate in your life with graduation party.
You’ll find tons of graduation-themed invitations to choose from online or
at a party store. But graduation parties can also have specific themes. If the
grad is into fashion, host a fashion-themed party, or if the grad loves sports,
make sports the central theme. You can save some dough with easy-to-make homemade
invitations. Simply cut out a graduation cap outline in one of the school's
colors. Then decorate with stickers, and write the party information.
It’s easy to find graduation decorations at party stores, but personalize
the party by using the graduate’s school colors as the color scheme. Be sure to
pick up plenty Mylar balloons, streamers, strobe lights, and graduation
decorations. Make a keepsake for the graduate by placing a large photo or
poster of the graduate near the entrance with white space along the border for
graduation messages from friends and family.
Now that the party space is ready, it’s time to get the party started. Hire
a DJ to play the grad's favorite tunes and keep the crowd entertained. A cheaper
alternative is to make a CD playlist of the grad’s favorite music. For a special touch, display a slideshow of
pictures of the graduate from his or her entire life until now. Let
friends and family express their thoughts and make congratulatory comments by
providing a microphone or creating a video message.
Grads and friends will work up an appetite with all of the partying, so be
sure to provide plenty of party snacks. If possible, cater the party to take the
stress out of feeding guests.
