Imitate the ball-dropping ceremony of Times Square in New York with your own
version. For instance, drop balloons and confetti from the ceiling or light
sparklers or screen it live on the TV while counting down together. You can also blow horns, throw confetti or
spray silly string. Before midnight, gather around and share New Year's
resolutions with each other. If the
party budget allows, hire a fortune teller or tarot card reader to make

out fortune cookies or ask questions from a magic 8-ball.
Partying can get exhausting, so refuel with cheese and wine,
pizza, vegetables, chocolate fondue, crackers, fruit, pastas, salads, or a
buffet of guests' favorite foods.
